TOD Transit Oriented Design- Diseño Mixto Residencial y Comercial de Facil Acceso al Transpoter Publico
Transit Oriented Development -TOD-
Creating mixed-use spaces in very dense communities encourages people to
live, work and shop in areas designed to maximize access to public
transportation.
The
tower to the left holds office units and commercial use on the first levels.
The right tower is designed for residential use and a hotel. The central
plaza allows access to the light train ramp and
integrates the buildings with the urban space to generate a rich urban
environment full of vegetation, and outdoor areas for activities.

Project I: Satellite Outpatient Hospital
Description: Hospital with 32 short stay beds, an emergency department, diagnostic and treatment areas, administrative and public areas, logistical support areas, and building support. A 44,000 sf medical office, parking for 483 spaces, in the future it will grow to 32 beds.

Graduado y licenciado en arquitectura de la universidad La Gran Colombia de Bogotá, Colombia, Se graduó con maestría en Arquitectura de la Universidad de Texas en Arlington y maestría en Educación de la TWU en Denton, TX. Trabajó como arquitecto residente y director de obra en Colombia. En los Estados Unidos esta asociado con la Firma FLM Associates Inc. Localizada en Dallas, Tx. trabajando en proyectos de diseño arquitectónico, Desarrollo Orientado por el Transporte, diseño hospitalario y diseño residencial y con unidades de metal ISBU -Intermodal Steel Building Units-.
Experiencia laboral: Planificación, diseño arquitectónico, supervisión de construcción residencial, comercial y creación de modelos arquitectónicos y animaciones basadas en computador.
Henry Borda, Ingeniero Civil. Graduado y licenciado en Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia con sede en Villavicencio, Meta.
Experiencia laboral: Planificación, programación y ejecución de obras civiles residenciales y comerciales.

Small cabin on the countryside to spend a weekend.
The client needed a small, effective, and low maintenance space. The exterior corridor creates a transition area between the exterior and the interior spaces.

Juan Borda, M. Arch. Received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Universidad La Gran Colombia in Bogotá, Colombia. He is a licensed architect in Colombia. Received a M. Arch. from the University of Texas at Arlington and a M. Ed. from TWU in Denton, Texas. He worked as an architect designer, and project manager in Colombia. In the United States, he is associated with FLM Associates, Inc. in Dallas, TX working in architectonic design, Transit Oriented Development -TDO-, Healthcare Design, Residential Design and Intermodal Steel Building Units design -ISBU-.
Work Experience: planning, designing and construction supervision of residential and commercial buildings, modeling and rendering of projects.
Henry Borda, Civil Engineer. Received the degree of engineering in Villavicencio, Colombia. He is a license Engineer in Colombia.
